Returns and Refunds
14-day right of withdrawal
Consumers generally have the right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.
If goods from the same order are delivered separately, the withdrawal period begins when the last item is received.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, notify us clearly before the withdrawal period expires. You can email office@sslfinland.fi, use a withdrawal form or use our online store’s electronic withdrawal function. Simply returning the goods or failing to collect a shipment does not constitute a notice of withdrawal.
Please include your name and order number, or other information that allows us to identify your purchase.
Returning your goods
You must send back or hand over the goods no later than 14 days after notifying us of your withdrawal.

Please contact office@sslfinland.fi for practical return instructions. Exercising your statutory right of withdrawal does not require our prior approval.
You are responsible for the direct cost of returning non-defective goods. If an item cannot normally be returned by post due to its nature, the return cost or an estimate will be provided before purchase.
Please package the goods carefully and retain proof of posting. Where possible, include the original packaging and accessories. Original packaging is not a condition for exercising your statutory right of withdrawal.
Inspecting goods and diminished value
You may inspect the goods to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning in the same way as you would in a shop.
If you handle the goods beyond what is necessary for this purpose, you may be liable for the resulting diminished value in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation. Any lawful deduction will be explained to you.
Using a product does not, by itself, remove your right of withdrawal.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply, for example, to:
- goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised
- sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons and have been unsealed after delivery.
These exceptions apply only where the legal conditions are met. A standard product ordered specifically for you is not automatically excluded from the right of withdrawal.
Discounted and sale items are subject to the same statutory withdrawal rights as full-price items.
Damaged, defective or incorrect goods
If your item is defective, damaged or incorrect, please contact office@sslfinland.fi within a reasonable time after discovering the issue. You may always report a defect within two months of discovering it.
Please include your order number, a description of the issue and, where possible, photographs.
Defects will primarily be remedied by repair or replacement in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation. Where the legal conditions are met, you may also be entitled to a price reduction, termination of the contract or compensation.
We will cover the necessary costs of investigating and remedying defects for which we are legally responsible, including necessary return shipping costs.
Please report transport damage to us as soon as possible. Notifying the carrier is not a condition for exercising your statutory rights against us.
Exchanges
For non-defective goods, you may exercise your applicable right of withdrawal and place a separate order for the replacement item. The return conditions and costs described above apply.
This does not affect your statutory right to replacement where goods are defective.
Refunds
We will refund payments relating to your withdrawal without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving your notice of withdrawal.
However, we may withhold the refund until we have received the goods or you have provided evidence that you have sent them back, whichever occurs first.
If you withdraw from the entire order, we will also refund the original delivery charges up to the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method we offered. Additional costs arising from your choice of a more expensive delivery method will not be refunded.
Refunds will be made using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise. You will not be charged any refund fees.
Any lawful deduction for diminished value may be deducted from the refund.
